The Blue Blur and Amy Rose Hedgehog

Sonic the Hedgehog, a spiky blue haired character developed by SEGA of America in 1991, was originally created to rival the Mario video game character from Nintendo. The first release was a great success; Sonic was featured alone in a game title named after him. But soon after, the creators at Sega came up with new features for the game in order to keep the enthusiasm going for future releases. One of these additions was the creation of new characters that make up the cast of Sonic the Hedgehog games. Friends and enemies alike are now integral part of the sonic series, which fans have grown to love or hate.
Sonic the hedgehog friends form an alliance known as Freedom Fighters, whereas sonic enemies are made up of unique characters and bosses most likely to be found at end of a level in sonic game titles. Some of his most famous rivals are Shadow Sonic, a very destructive character who considers himself the Ultimate life form. There is Jet the Hawk, who claims are his allegations that he can outrace the sonic game hero, and last but not least, is Sonics worse enemy Dr. Robotnik, also known as Eggman. At the opposite side, we will find some of sonics closest friends among the Freedom Fighters, including Miles Tails Prower, better known as Tails, Knuckles the Echidna, who is in charge of guarding the Chaos Emerald located in Angel island, and of course Amy Rose hedgehog.
As many sonic fans know, Amy Rose Hedgehog likes to consider herself Sonics girlfriend. In the game title Secret Rings, hints of a relationship between Sonic and Amy where given by Sega, but nothing really concrete. Fans have been unaware of Sonics feelings for Amy up until the release of Sonic X. This year we have witness more indications that Sonic may really care about Amy, especially in the Sonic Chronicles. However, these have not been made by the original Sonic team. Amy Rose Hedgehogs attempts to catch Sonics attention lead her to trouble more often than not. Sonic coming to the rescue and saving the day could be easily taken as unsubstantiated evidence of his feelings for her.
Some say Sonic is shy, others that there too much an age difference between them, or that she endangers Sonics missions. Thus opinions vary, and not everyone agrees this is a good idea. Nevertheless, Amy Rose Hedgehog is very much part of the team of Freedom fighters, and fans everywhere can be sure that whatever the case the Blue Blur hero will save the day regardless of romantic complications.
